Greater support for Victims of Crime

I have a long background, and unapologetic focus on supporting and advancing the rights of victims of crime, which is why I called for an Inquiry into this area earlier this year.

I thank the Premier for advancing this inquiry, and I was pleased to be on the Committee which has now held hearings throughout Queensland.

We have finalised our report, making 18 recommendations to Parliament.

These recommendations will substantially advance the rights of victims, including victims of both personal and property crime.

This report is now with the Minister for a response, and I look forward to updating you on that.
