HELP US TAKE ACTION ON KEY ISSUES

The single most effective way of making a positive change is to get involved.

Help Jonty support key initiatives that improve the lives of the residents of Cooper and some of our most vulnerable members of society.

  • Supermarket Parliamentary Inquiry

Queenslanders are doing it tough. National cost of living pressures have been impacting all Australians'. Here in Queensland, we’re doing everything we can to help lower household bills.

We’re taking on the big supermarkets and holding an inquiry into grocery prices.

  • WOMEN AND GIRL'S HEALTH STRATEGY

The Queensland Government is committed to advancing the rights and interests of women and girls, increasing their economic participation, and working to achieve gender equality in Queensland. As a commitment under the Queensland Women's Strategy 2022-27, a new Queensland Women and Girls’ Health Strategy 2023-2032 (Strategy) will be developed.

  • HOUSING FOR QUEENSLANDERS

Our Miles Government’s bold new Homes for Queenslanders plan has just been released. Homes for Queenslanders reforms the planning system to increase housing supply.

By delivering on our target of one million new homes, we can put downward pressure on housing prices.

We will leave no stone unturned to create more affordable housing.

  • Stop the Ashgrove Mcdonald's

Brisbane City Council has ignored the will of the locals in Ashgrove and have allowed for a McDonald’s development application to be lodged without requiring community consultation, without a plan, and without the support of Ashgrove locals.

Help fight against Brisbane City Council selling out to the Mcdonald’s Corporation and further impacting local small businesses and introducing more traffic to our streets.

  • SAVE OUR WATERWAYS

Jonty works closely with Save Our Waterways Now (SOWN) and other local environment groups to help raise awareness about the critical role our rivers and creeks play in the local environment.

An amazing local project being undertaken by SOWN and the Gap Sustainability Initiative is the Platypus Rewilding Project. Jonty has been a strong advocate for these initiatives.

  • BUSHFIRE SEASON

Fire season is always risky in Queensland. During a bushfire, preparation is key to reducing the risk to both you, but your neighbours and community.

We need to work together to help reduce the risk of bushfires in our community.
