At the moment, Queenslanders are doing it tough. National cost of living pressures have been impacting all Australians'. Here in Queensland, we’re doing everything we can to help lower household bills.
While farmers are getting paid less for their produce, Queenslanders have been paying more at the checkout. We’re taking on the big supermarkets and holding an inquiry into grocery prices, forcing the supermarket giants to explain the price increases they’ve been forcing onto everyday people.
The answers we get from this inquiry will help ensure that every company along the supply chain is using fair practices and that Queenslanders won’t get ripped off.
By demanding they treat farmers and customers better, we’re taking on the big supermarkets to get real action for Queenslanders.
