I’m humbled to have been nominated as the Labor Candidate for Cooper for the October 31 election.
There’s no denying I have some massive shoes to try to fill in terms of Kate Jones’ contribution to our community, but I've also made positive contributions to Queensland and I'm excited to have the chance to bring that same energy to Cooper.
I’ve decided to contest the seat because I’ve seen how the decisions made in places like Parliament House can affect people’s lives – for better or worse – and how important it is to have strong representatives who will fight for their community and the things they believe in.
To the people of Cooper. I’ve hit the streets with Kate on day one, and will be working hard every day until the election to win your support and help ensure our community continues to have a strong voice in the Palaszczuk government.
I hope to meet up with as many of you as possible, hear your stories and talk about the things that matter to you.
